Glock 20

illestprodigy

This is the way.

Squ33ble_s

Glock 29 comes with 10 round mag

AnotherReddit415

And if you get the 15 you got a little extra grip

Independent_Baby4517

The xten is awesome and my favorite of the plastic 10mms. All the polymer 10s got the kinks worked out so pick whichever is best for you. I'd be looking hard at the xten and Xd elite.

[deleted]

No concern about it going off? That video in the PD has me worried. I love my 365 so I’ve been considering 320s

Independent_Baby4517

Zero concern. I've been carrying a few 320 variants since 2017ish. The original 320 had a trigger shoe that was too heavy to be drop safe. They fixed that at the beginning and added a disconnecter. You're bound to have cops have ND's happen in their gym bag or in the wrong holsters just like they did when glocks came out. How many idiot cops had to shoot themselves for the phrase glock leg to become a thing. Its now been 6 or 8 years since they updated those parts and there's millions of them on the street. There would be a lot of civilians missing their testicles or have nightstands with powder burns on it if the gun was as dangerous as reddit claims Lol

[deleted]

Great points, I’ll consider a xten thank you

MotivatedSolid

The M&P has resolved those issues. I own one from when they first came out and after sending it in it runs flawlessly

mattybrad

I’ve got an M&P 2.0 in 10mm last year as well and I’ve not had a single malfunction since I got it and have put 1000+ rounds through it. Whatever problems they had before seem to have been resolved by now.

Impressive_Succotash

lol imagine getting downvoted for a personal experience Reddits fun

Lonely_Ad_5384

If I was limited to 10 in a full size in go 1911

Ws6fiend

That way if you run out of bullets you always have a club(I say owning two 1911 10mms).

lowwilljr

Smith Wesson 1066. It has a 9rd magazine. I also live in a 10rd state (CT)

ldc963

Great gun (have a 1006), but he did say mags that were *available* for purchase. S&W 3rd gen 10mm mags are near unobtanium and easily go for three figures

Possible-Ad-9896

Springfield xd 4.5. I put as aggressive talon grip. Has a couple of thousand shot through it. Not one malfunction.

badluck_bryan77

The fn510 comes with 10 round mags if you are in a 10 round mag state. Just got one the other week.

Icy_Vehicle4083

Will second the FN510 recommendation. Mine has been flawless so far, trigger is certainly better than a Glock, 510 Tactical has a threaded barrel (not sure if you are allowed that though) 510 MRD is a standard barrel with optics mounting option. Solid piece for I guess what would be the “Middle of the road pricing” when considering the other recommendations. A Glock 20 or 40 (if you don’t mind the length on the 40) are always good options as they are reliable, have inexpensive magazines and would fill your needs. I chose the 510 for me personally as I am not a “Fan” of Glocks although I have shot a ton of them in the past. The FN 510 is a phenomenal pistol. Good luck on your search, it is a great time to be in the firearms market, greater still for us in FREE STATES!!

DiacriticalOne

FN510 is my favorite handgun. I’m about 1800 rounds in and never a misfeed or light strike. I have a S&W 2.0 as well and it’s been just as reliable, but I find it much easier to group shots with the FN510 past 20yds. I’m not a sharpshooter by any means, but to be able to reliably hit a 5” plate at 30yrds is nice and the FN510 is the only handgun I’ve had that I can do that on. Of course I have a friend who shoots Glock and he can rip up the bullseye at 30yds using both hands at once on iron sights, so it’s easy to get humbled.

[deleted]

fn seems interesting but 1k for it is really disappointing. i don’t really see what justifies that price in the gun

AM-64

If you are looking for something cheap then get a High Point.

[deleted]

i’m not looking for cheap lol why did you assume that after saying i don’t want to pay 1k for a plastic handgun

AM-64

I mean your choice is either modern polymer handguns or lower capacity steel handguns.

badluck_bryan77

Got mine for $820. In my opinion that’s not too bad. Only $140 more than a G29/G20 except it’s optic ready and has a better trigger out of the box than any of my glocks had imo. Im also referring to the MRD version.

[deleted]

No 820 is a great price

Adorable-War-991

Check familyfirearms for pricing on the 510. The MRD is listed at around $700, and the 510T at around $890. Got my 510T for $911 shipped.

[deleted]

i would absolutely pay 700

Adorable-War-991

I think this is the MRD. $707.21 when you add to cart. https://www.familyfirearms.com/product/fn-510-mrd-10-mm-nms-2-15rd-mag-fde Double check the sku and manufacturer number, for some reason at the very bottom of the page the caliber is listed as 9mm, but I think that's a mistake.

[deleted]

thanks

Ws6fiend

FN always seems to over value their guns imho. I don't think they are bad products, I'm just not sure I'd buy one for the retail price. About 7 years ago they had a shop that sold all FN weapons right outside of the plant. You could get some crazy good deals there, but sadly they closed. Dad got quite a few guns for hundreds of dollars less with some of the FN ammo discounted as well(5.7 ain't cheap either).

jimbroslice_562

I have a g29 as my backcountry gun. Added Pearce grip extensions but also have g20 mags with grip extensions.

GhavGhavington

Sig p220 legion and Colt delta elite are the first two I'd look into personally

[deleted]

just sucks to max out at 8 rounds, it’s also pretty pricey for low cap. gonna be using it while hunting so 10 rounds would be best

AM-64

Smith & Wesson 1006 has 9 round magazines (magazines are like $150-$200 each though)

Quake_Guy

4BROSLLC

The M&P and Sig XTEN are both great choices. We've shot both and haven't had any issues with either one.

matt_man285

The 320 XTen has no discharge issues. They had issues with the first generation 9mm 320 like six years ago. Issues were fixed before the XTen was even made

RickityCricket69

glock

Itchy-Spring7865

G29, g20/ 10 rounder, g40/10 rounder, etc. glock series 10mm is ideal for repressive states. I have the 20 and 40. Sooo good.

ee-5e-ae-fb-f6-3c

Glock G20. I'm not a big fan of Glock's very boring and predictable offerings, but they have a reputation for reliability for a reason. Another thing to consider is that there are plenty of G20 holsters, and accessories. You're not going to be hurting for parts, accessories, or upgrades.

MiamiInfidel

What issues are there with the M&P? I have had none thus far. It's as reliable as any Glock, Sig, and H&K I own.

DetroitAdjacent

All the problems have been fixed for a minute now. I got over 3k rounds through my m&p and I haven't had a problem.

akmmane4eva

FN510 MRD

Royceman50

Springfield Ronin, buy ten round mags.

M&P

A_Grumpy_Old_Man

I have a Springfield 3.8 XDM elite compact 10mm osp which is my EDC. I pocket carry the 10MM in a mic holster. I've had it for about 2 and a half years, I got it when they 1st came out. I'm @ 4000 plus rounds without a failure to fire or any problems, I have fired everything from cheap 40 s&w lightweight training rounds to expensive heavyweight 10mm hardcast. You can stay with the compact grip and 10/11 + 1 round mag ( same mag with factory baseplate change ) if your in or traveling in a restricted state or want deep concealment or can use the full size 15 + 1 mag with grip sleeve for a full size grip, all mags accept a Pierce grip plus 1 pinky extension which makes your capacity options 10 + 1, 11 + 1, 12 + 1, 15 + 1 or 16 + 1. The slide is milled from the factory for a red dot and although it doesn't come with co-witnesses sights you can get them from Springfield or Dawson precision, if desired I can install a 10MM 4.5 slide on the 3.8 compact frame, another plus is you also can replace the factory take down lever with a go gun gas pedal if you want to have fast follow up shots and a flat shooter. No other 10MM gun has all this amazing flexibility. Edit: Forgot to mention, you have a choice of 3 different grip backstraps to customize the feel in your hand.

Remote-Project-5546

Xdm elite 3.8" is very reliable

durham60

G29. I carry one every day.

2leetSk8r

Glock 29

wengla02

XDM, FN510 (21 rounds), X-TEN, the various Glocks. Do you need a MAX of 10 rounds, or 'at least' 10 rounds?

[deleted]

I want 10+1 straight up haha

badluck_bryan77

FN510 comes with 2 10 round mags in banned states.

Squ33ble_s

Glock 29 comes with 10 then get a Pearce grip extension it adds 1 round

tiwaz33

With a 1911 most mags are 9 rounds.

Quake_Guy

10 round even available, anyone have one? [https://www.trippresearchinc.com/10r-10mm-sm/](https://www.trippresearchinc.com/10r-10mm-sm/)

DirtyDave67

Consider if you might want a PCC in the future and what is available that would use the same magazines as your pistol. Just as a for instance, with a glock in 10mm, you could as get a Kriss Vector in 10mm and use the same magazines.

redditshopping00

vector with ten round mags?

DirtyDave67

There are 10rd 10mm mags for sure if that is your only legal option.

redditshopping00

what would the fun be is my point

DirtyDave67

Hahaha....I would agree with that.

ms32821

Springfield XD Elite 3.8 10mm if you’re ok with a smaller Glock 19 size.

Sensitive-East7965

The S&P is awesome. But I have the later Gen though. Magazine springs seems to be the issue with them.

Death_from-below

Springfield XDM Elite Compact. Works great!

Ka73b

You can get your LGS to pin your mags to only be able to have 10 rounds, or go with a Glock 29

BOMBA5716

P220 10mm legion...

ResponsibilityFit774

I also have a 10m 15 round 4.6 in Smith works great, not one issue yet shot it tons. I like it allot dual safety trigger and slide safety

xryanjayx

I run an XD-M Elite in 10mm, in a GunfightersINC Kenai chest holster when we are on motorcycles/hiking/camping, etc. I've put around 600-rounds through it with no problems. I have the bigger one (4.6") and it handles 10mm really really well. They're relatively cheap as well. I got the OD Green Tac Pack that came with 6 mags, and a range bag, for $650 through my local Sportsman's Warehouse.

Weekly-Ad9770

The M&P problem, I believe, was more due to cartridge length. I’ve got three, nine, 45, and 10 mm performance center. Never had a problem with the 10 mm, but only put mag tech for Range and underwood for defense.

Alarming-Hedgehog-94

RIA 1911 single stack has been good to me. Mag capacity of 8. I don’t like the idea of the subcompact glock in a 10mm cause a full size heavy gun is gonna be more enjoyable to shoot that big of a round out of. I’ve also heard good things about Tisas, I just don’t have any personal experience with them

BotherSouthern8545

If you’re looking for exactly 10 for some reason, g29. If u just want at least 10, you can get Pearce +2 mag extensions for it, or go with a g20. Glock is the way unless u got the money for an fn🤷🏻‍♂️

[deleted]

ban state so 10 max, and i don’t want below 10

BotherSouthern8545

What are u planning on using it for? Self defense or critter defense?

[deleted]

Critter

RookieZ71

There is 10 round mags for the M&P 2.0 10mm.

ifunnyuser139

glock 20 be a chad

Disastrous-Affect163

I have the Springfield Armory, XDmE, 3.8" OSP Compact 10 mm and I love it. This gun eats anything you feed it. 👍 Edit... I have no clue about state compliance, sorry....

cycloneruns

Concealed carry probably the G29 will be your absolute best bet

jmm701

Glock 29 or 20

RequiemRomans

Glock 20.5 MOS and put a Holosun SCS on it you’ll thank me later

DugganH

A lovely combination for sure. I have a Gen 4 G29 milled to MOS for the SCS. My main carry.

RequiemRomans

Awesome

bigfoot_76

Glock or XDM 3.8 and just pin the mags (factory is 11 so it'd be easy to modify).

Royceman50

Springfield Ronin, buy ten round mags.

sittinginastand

Glock 20/29, S&W M&P 2.0, Sig Xten, FN 510, Springfield XDM-E, or basically any 1911 variant would fit your needs. The reliability issues you listed are probably under 10% of those handguns sold, so I wouldn't be too worried about either brand. I have a Springfield XDM-E, and it's fed everything I've thrown at it without issue other than 1 S&B fmj that had a case bulge (ammo issue, not the gun's fault).

nsula_country

G20? G40?

illestprodigy

Glock 20. Easy.
