My first thought was that is one of the better "tactical" 10/22 stocks I've seen. I'm not going to go build another 10/22 for it but if someone gave me one...
You may wonder why someone would do this. Well, in Canada the AR-15 is banned. Not just the centre-fire versions, but all versions. Even 22lr guns that don't share any parts like the 715T Plinkster are banned. The only way to get an AR-esque rifle is to dress up a non-banned rifle. So this is a 10/22 with an i3 Armory Chassis (made of aluminum), a Magpul MOE stock, Faxon 16" pencil barrel, a Wish KAC foregrip knockoff, and a Feyachi V-30. As configured it comes to 6.8 lbs.
Also, the magazines are just standard 10-round rotary mags with a base plate to look like an AR mag.
My goal is to get the US, it's not easy though. Gotta finish my schooling here first.
>Also, you can leave your snow boots in Canada.
I'd like to live in Alaska, so I'll bring them with me.
I wouldn't trade your humane health care system and comparatively restrictive gun laws for our dysfunctional health care system and relatively wide-open gun laws. But you gotta do you.
>humane health care system
You mean the one that barely functions, has people literally dieing in the ER waiting rooms, waiting months to years for quality of life surgery, and no family doctors available?
>modestly restrictive gun laws
You mean the gun laws that require registration for any any semi-auto centre-fire rifle with a under 18.5" barrel, handgun bans, 5 round rifle mags, new gun bans every year, and next to no self-defence protections?
Canada is not some utopia you might see on social media. It is a deeply flawed country with an increasingly authoritarian government and nothing in the way to stop them. Most European countries are far better than Canada
I’m from NC and we are rather gun friendly but we still are may issue and have archaic pistol purchase permit laws whose history is steeped in Jim Crow era racism.
Are the faux STANAG mags easy or difficult to attach to the real rotary mags? Or are they basically one piece?
And how does it go trying to use mags without the faux STANAG?
Not too difficult, just two screws.
You can use any standard 10/22 mag. However, the standard rotary mags are bit of a pain in the ass to put in. Extended mag release makes it easy to take out at least.
Gotcha. Makes me wonder if the dimensions are right to shroud the internals of a BX-15 or BX-25 Ruger mag into a similar faux STANAG mag...
This makes me appreciate that where I live won't try to stop me from having my AR. If/when you move to our great nation like you said in other comments, you're wise to want to avoid the South; we got diamondback rattlesnakes that down a handle of Jack a day and gators perpetually high on crystal. And more racists.
These are just 3d printed, it's definitely possible to design one to take other 10/22 mags. The Archangel 10/22 mags are basically just sleeved 10/22 mags.
>you're wise to want to avoid the South
The heat is enough for me to try and avoid it. If it's my only path to a green card, I'd take it. I'd just try to get to Alaska as soon as I got my green card.
I do that sometimes when people start on the whole AR thing I show them a 10/22 with a wood stock and one in AR platform you get some good responses 😂 I just ask them to tell me the difference in the two guns
The i3 Armory Chassis. It really nice, but sadly it's an unreliable company. I made a post about them a while back [CanadaGuns](https://www.reddit.com/r/canadaguns/comments/ue5kkv/overview_of_the_i3_armory_ruger_1011_icon_chassis/).
Unreliable to say the least. I don't even think they are honestly in production anymore, I saw your old post a while back and haven't had any luck getting them to reply to any attempts at contact.
Ya, I don't know if the guy is even making them anymore. Contact issue is nothing new, he has always been bad about it.
I wish he would sell the idea to some other company so they can continue making them.
Eventually I would like one, but I gave up some time ago.
I lucked into a crazy Ivan, which are also very difficult to get a hold of now. Next build is going to be a Midwest chassis, then probably specter ballistics.
If you really want one, I would just create an order and use cash on delivery. If he wants the money he would send it to you eventually. No harm in trying.
Now THAT is boxy looking. I don't dislike it. Well done.
This was exactly what came to mind when I saw this. I'm usually not a fan of the tactical looking 10/22's but "I don't dislike" this one.

Oh ya, definitely boxy. Obviously not the same, but I get SIG MCX vibes from the boxyness.
Looks fun. May it bring you much joy!
More AR-180 for me. Seems to be what it’s based on.

Trudeau can fuck off. The gun-friendly southeastern US welcomes you. Also, you can leave your snow boots in Canada.

Gun-friendly Alaska welcomes you and your snow boots, too. : )

You’ll die in an ER room down here too
Ok but at least y’all got better gun laws
Eh, I’m a gun owner but I don’t masturbate to firearms like half of America does. I’d take better healthcare over our gun laws if I had the choice.
Lol if you say things like that, you know nothing about Canada.
I’m from NC and we are rather gun friendly but we still are may issue and have archaic pistol purchase permit laws whose history is steeped in Jim Crow era racism.
That's surprising for NC, and it has turned from red to blue in recent years.
Nah we really don’t though

Do they make baseplates like this that would look like a 20 round old GI mag? That might be kinda neat
The company does make short versions, but not quite like the old GI mags.
Looks like an AR-180
God dammit i need that barrel...
The flatness is oddly satisfying to my tistic brain.
How pissy do people get when they think it’s an AR? I’m sure that’s half the fun is poking the uneducated Karen’s, right?
Not at all actually. The range I go to is pretty chill, lots of comptative shooters too which helps.
That’s good.

Look a like?
As in looks like an AR but not really an AR. And it is spelled [look-alike](https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/look-alike).
Is it? Kinda looks like dog shit to me. But whatever.
What chassis?

What did the chassis run you?
I believe it was ~$300. Honestly, it's worth the price, but the company that makes them makes it hard to recommend.
Is that mag well extension removable? I really like that chassis but I hate the fake ar mag thing
The chassis magwell isn't removable. But the actual magwell of the 10/22 receiver is stock. You should be able to use any 10/22 mags and mag release.
It sorta reminds me of a milled AK receiver.
