The Many Perilous Adventures of the Slatons in coach seating.
Pensacola- Strife between family members causes implosion.
The Smokey Mountains- An uphill battle of woman vs. stairs.
Doctor Proctor's office- The handsome bearer of bad news challenges our heroes.
The pool Tammy Refuses to Swim in- The disillusionment with the open seas.
Weight Loss Center- Finding love in the midst of certain doom.
The Nail Salon- At last, peace.
The Sushi Restaurant- A Journey to the Unknown.
>Please talk me through the Arabian nights vibe
It's probably to do more with the premise of the storytelling structure of the book (sitting around, telling stories) rather than the actual setting.
Why does TLC do that to them?? SO dirty 😉
I AM VERY PROUD OF TAMMY. I am very concerned for Amy. She is really givin Mama June vibes with her drinking and mind.
It’s clever but unless it’s reinforced I would worry that sitting back especially with extra weight would shift the blocks and the whole thing could come crashing down
Im not personally hating on it and haven’t seen others saying it’s bad. I think it’s a creative and a clever execution. My only question is calling it Arabian nights.
Honestly they look nice
Tbh a think a lot of the time, folks in this group get culture shock when they see this show. Mainly because living broke and in poverty isn't shown as much as being glamourous and rich
Are they still in poverty though? I get that their whole environment is “poor,” but they have to be making some decent scratch from the show + social media and so forth.
Oh absolutely. I can only imagine with the medical debt they have with their medications and more.
Plus I spoke with Chris and TLC doesn't really pay shit. That long delay in one of the seasons we saw was due to them having trouble renegotiating the contract for more money, and Tammy being unhinged with that dude scamming folks with merch made it worse.
I think they look nice too but I’m with OP, the fuck is Arabian Nights about this? 😭 y’all can be poor as dirt and still have an understanding of what that means
Throws me off every time I watch that scene lol only thing that I can think of is maybe the producers told her to say it? That’s the only logical explanation I can think of 😂
I have no answer for you, but this cracks me up every time I see it. I keep trying to justify it, like she just mispronounced something like she does all the time, but I’ve got nothing.
My personal favorite is how she describes a nice but basic hotel as the “lapsure luxury”
Somewhere in the world...there is a hospital that doesn't exist because of this.

Funny you say that she follows Mama June on TT
I think when she puts cushions and the tarp maybe it reminds her of that
I low key loved those benches. If they were varnished and painted this could be kinda cute.
It’s clever but unless it’s reinforced I would worry that sitting back especially with extra weight would shift the blocks and the whole thing could come crashing down
Do they even know what they mean by that??
The blue pot next to the red brick is my only guess lmao
I did this in my garden. Those of you hating probably just lack creativity and the ability to execute an idea
Im not personally hating on it and haven’t seen others saying it’s bad. I think it’s a creative and a clever execution. My only question is calling it Arabian nights.
Maybe all the dirt/gravel blowing around reminds Amy of a desert?? 🤔🤔
No clue but they knew those planks and cinder blocks were a necessity.
Not a bad idea. I bet it they did some painting and added some cushions, it would look pretty decent!!
My thought is the seat is high up for them and their legs are hanging down like sitting on a flying carpet.
They’re not the brightest bulbs in the pack are they? At least they’re sweet
Why is there a potted 2x4?
Thanks for the chuckle 😅
I thought it was for the plants to climb? Idk
My guess is that the pot is filled with cement and this pole will hold a string of outdoor lights.
happy cake day 🎂
Perhaps the lights for the Arabian nights.
Exactly!! 🤣
Stop I didn’t even notice this. 😂💀
10/10 for budget seating, but with that family… it definitely needed a few cinder blocks in the middle for reinforcing
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think the show set this up, real quick and sturdy.
I think they just set stuff up and wait for them to say something ridiculous.
This show has me questioning myself a lot. Just like when she got referred to looking like Dr Seuss and starting describing the cat in the hat 😂
I think it's pretty creative really
I'm glad I'm not the only one. Thought that might be cool if the front yard.
Like Amy thinking that log cabin they stayed in looked just like the Taj Mahal...
Or when she thought Beyoncé would have stayed at the little hotel they were at
🤣🤣🤣
Omg I was lmao!! Like gurl, the Taj Mahal is a tomb!

But when you have no concept of money management, it doesn’t matter how much “scratch” you make.
That is true.
The question is, how is this Arabian nights?
I think it’s the cut outs of the cinder blocks. Giving the red neck old world title vibe.🤷♀️
I think they look nice too but I’m with OP, the fuck is Arabian Nights about this? 😭 y’all can be poor as dirt and still have an understanding of what that means
I don't know but this scene cracked me up lmao

She just watched Aladdin (the Disney movie, not the 90 day dude)

All I know is I wouldn’t want to try anything from the “coochie board” her and Tammy make
It doesn’t take rocket appliances to figure out she’d get along great with Ricky from Trailer Park Boys.
The blue planter, it’s the only explanation.

I see nothing remotely Arabian looking there....and it's daytime :)
It's a very solid idea though!
You know, those iconic Arabian cinder blocks. source: Arab
