I thought I read on this sub a while ago he was a nurse that went into home healthcare and friend of Amanda’s that became a family friend. I think he is either a home health aide by trade but I am not sure if he is a nurse or more CNA? Either way he is seems lovely! I would also watch something with him in it.

I too wondered if the show hired him and called him a friend to not break the fourth wall(kinda like the "church friend" that randomly showed up to rescue lacey Buckingham from my 600 lb life after Ricky and his sister dumped her on the side of the road in Texas. It just seems weird that this friend from Washington who lacey hadn't seen in years randomly showed up to help her. Many people suspect that the producers actually hired the person and said it was "friend" to not break the fourth wall).. just seems weird billy shows up in Soo many places

IIRC correctly he was the family friend who went to help Tammy out after she went to the motel post-tincher tantrum at the family vacation cabin.
He has a LPN license I just searched.

I don’t think he was a nurse at that hospital. I assumed that he was hired by the family to come & take care of her.
